First aid courses

Heroes don't need superpowers. Just the right moves.
Everyone is familiar with the classic first aid course, and most people have already taken one, for example when they were getting their driver's license. For many, however, this was some time ago; a refresher course can not only do no harm, but also save lives in case of doubt.

In addition to first aid courses, the ASB Mannheim/Rhine-Neckar Region offers much more; for example, special courses for certain professional groups, for school classes, or for parents and people who have a lot to do with children. Here, for example, there is the course "First Aid for Children".

Basic first aid course

This course covers the basic measures to maintain and safeguard vital body functions, as well as the basics of recognizing, assessing, and treating the most common emergencies, from everyday injuries to burns.

The course is for:

  • the acquisition of all driving license classes
  • for numerous other certificates, such as the trainer's license in the sports club, the supervisor's license etc.
  • for future first aiders in companies

First aid with self-protection contents

Floods, severe weather, a pandemic or an evacuation due to a bomb discovery: What can I do to help myself and others in such an exceptional situation? And how do I prepare myself for it? With special, free courses, Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund strengthens the practical ability of the population to help themselves and others in extraordinary emergencies.

The course is for:

  • Young people from the age of 10, young adults, retirees with focus on practical handling of emergencies.

This training repeats the basics of first aid and focuses on practical measures.

The course is for:

  • Participants who have already attended a first aid course in the last one to two years and want to repeat and deepen their skills and knowledge.

First aid for the child

This course takes into account the fact that children are not simply "little adults" and that special treatments often need to be applied to them.

  • Anyone who frequently deals with young children, such as parents, grandparents and caregivers.

Last aid courses

The end of life and dying of our loved ones, friends and neighbors often leaves us feeling helpless. In these Last Aid courses, interested citizens learn what they can do for those close to them at the end of life.

Important note

Please note that the current Corona regulation of the state of Baden-Württemberg applies to us: we currently apply the 3G rule!

  • Vaccinated individuals please bring scannable proof (QR code).
  • Recovered persons please bring appropriate proof, not older than 3 months.
  • If a corona antigen rapid test is submitted, it must not be older than 24h.

Furthermore, a self-brought mouth-nose protection of the level FFP2 or higher is to be worn during the entire course.


We offer these other courses on request

Every company is obliged to provide first aiders in the company. This requirement is laid down in the accident prevention regulations. According to these regulations with up to 20 insured persons present, a first aider must be available. be available. We will be happy to advise you and offer appropriate courses. The also applies to sports clubs, for example. We also offer training for educators or teachers in kindergartens or schools are also possible with the ASB.

First aid voucher for ASB members
